Can my car really park itself? Well, if it's equipped with Mercedes Active Park Assist (APA) then yes it can, and with only a little input from the driver. APA works in combination with the new electro-mechanical steering and radar sensors to detect a suitable parking space and then steer the vehicle in safely, while protecting your wheels from curb rash. The driver still controls the gas and brake, but the steering is 100% autonomous. Electromechanical steering utilizes a servo motor connected directly to the steering column as opposed to a conventional power steering pump. These systems also save weight, eliminate drag on the engine, and reduce future maintenance issues. Oh, and when you are ready to leave, the system safely guides you out.

New Things on the Horizon
The 6th generation SL has arrived, and it is both menacing and beautiful. This is the very first unit we received of the redesigned roadster, and is the first 2013 model to be released for Mercedes. "Wow!" is all I can say. Obviously the bar is very high when it comes to one of the most prolific roadsters ever built. There is plenty of 'new,' but still some subtle hints that hearken back to the original 1950's model. Stop by the showroom to take a look for yourself.
